The Colombian's National Soccer Team Drought

Colombian citizens are actually living a real joy, a carnival due to the national's team qualification to the next year's world cup in Brazil. Event where our name hasn't been for 15 years already, when our team competed by the last time was in France in the 1998 edition, reaching the third place in the first round in a tough group conformed by England, Tunisia and Romania. Therefore, our team was sent out of the cup.

Since that time many things have already happened in this sport such as: The economical impact that it's got over the world, fashion tendencies like:"Shoes and jersey's designs, haircuts". And many other things related with the sports and soccer in general. Colombia has suffered a positive transformation in it's internal organization in sports by providing moral and economical support and providing athletes with facilities for the youngsters to enhance their capabilities and also to grow up educatelly and formed as a good human beings.

As a result nowadays Colombia shows an incredible development in sport with a great number of athletes on top in many sports, waving our flag in the highs on the planet. But, talking about soccer our team's being a boom worldwide, that's why many tv reposrters from Europe and FIFA agents are keeping track of this team recently, interested in knowing how the transition has actually been in the past years from being at the bottom in the ranking to be in the third position currently sharing place with powerful and world-class teams like: Germany, Brazil and Spain and many others. Colombia is already in Brazil this means that there's an atmosphere full of emotion an much optimism in the air for the next year, in which thousands and thousands of Colombians will turn up to. Due to the short distance between both countries and the drught that people have had to deal with for over two decades almost.

This time hopefully thing will be better than the previous ones, our team will stand out in this edition by getting throught the final stages in the cup. In addition we need something good to happen in our history to make up for the poor fame we have abroad. And, as weel as internally we need to prove that with support in sport and education things are better and everything could be changed.

See You next year Brazil.
