The British Library

The English language is spoken by one million and a half people worldwide. Including the native speakers, who have got English as a mother tongue, and also adding the English learners from all around the globe, who are adding English as an additional language. This makes Ensligh to be on top of the most spoken languages in the world.

The British library located in the center of London, It's one of the biggest, important and richest library in the world. Because,  in there are documents, magazines, music and important manuscripts, which contribute to the language history. This library has devoloped in an impressive way, every single year there are three-million-new items added to the library. Occasionating the library to be modified by putting up twelve kilometres of shelves.

Roger Walches the head of the library, points out that the English language has suffered great varities throughout the history, there's a book which was the fisrt book ever printed in history by Willian Caxton. Hen went on to print the Chaucer's Carterbury Tails, The first bestseller in the English history. One of the most singular chatacteristics about it. Was, the fact that he wrote this book, without a dictionary and a grammar guide, there are many words miswritten in that book. For instance:"French", was written "Frensshe" or "Frenshe".

Another courious detail is that there's a book written in 1867, that contains SMS abbreviation like:"I wrote 2 U B4". Something that has been used since that remote epoc in history. And, it's foressen like the new English style nowadays, pople on internet "the youtube's commentary board, chat rooms and mobiles's chats". Something that keeps on growing worldwide. Even old and traditional people have caught on and are writting and using this abbreviations. This with any doubt, is the future of the English language.
